‘F* Fascism’: Maine Teacher’s Shocking Call to ‘Take Out’ Trump Supporters and Top Officials

A high school English teacher in Maine has come under scrutiny after making alarming posts on social media calling for the assassination of President Donald Trump, his supporters, and top advisors.

JoAnna St. Germain, who teaches at Waterville Senior High School, reportedly shared the posts on Facebook, prompting an investigation by local law enforcement and the school district.

In one post published last Tuesday, St. Germain urged the Secret Service and U.S. military to take action. “The Secret Service has the perfect opportunity, if they choose to step up and take it. You are the ones with power. Coordinate,” she wrote. “Take out every single person who supports Trump’s illegal, immoral, unconstitutional acts. Look at the sycophants and give them what they’re asking for.”

She clarified that she was not calling for the assassination of the president himself, stating, “A president is a person duly elected by the American people. Trump has shamelessly bragged openly about stealing the election. He is making plans to give himself a third term.”

St. Germain continued, “Secret Service, you are Americans. My beloved military, you are Americans. We, the people, are counting on you. If I had the skill set required, I would take them out myself.”

Following widespread backlash, St. Germain appeared to narrow her target, saying her call to violence was aimed specifically at Trump’s closest advisors rather than all Republicans. “I am so sorry you took that post to mean that all Republicans should die,” she wrote on Wednesday. “I have no beef with Republicans. I have no beef with MAGA. I meant that those in the room with Trump, who are permitting and approving his egregious actions, need to be held accountable.”

She acknowledged that her comments could cost her job but said she would not retract them. “I believe Trump and every sycophant he has surrounded himself with needs to die,” St. Germain stated. She compared her stance to the necessity of removing Hitler and his followers before they committed atrocities during World War II.

In another post, she expressed frustration at the public’s reaction. “People are quite angry with me for stating openly that Trump and his cronies need to die,” she said. “Gosh, I fear I may have ‘Trump Derangement Syndrome’!”

St. Germain also criticized what she sees as threats to democracy and education in the U.S. “F*** fascism. F*** a country that suppresses the media. F*** a country that moves to weaken the education system in order to produce weak-minded people who will follow orders,” she wrote. “F*** a country that sends innocent women and men to die thinking they’re defending democracy when they’re really defending the rights of corporations to f*** over the very people lining their pockets.”

She concluded with a defiant statement: “If you’re mad that I’m speaking truth to power, F*** you. I’ll still take a bullet to keep your child safe.” St. Germain ended by emphasizing she was fully aware of her actions and unapologetic. “To be clear, publicly: I knew what I was doing when I did it. I’m not the least f***ing sorry.”

In response to the controversy, Waterville’s superintendent sent an email to parents confirming that an investigation is underway regarding the social media posts believed to be made by St. Germain, according to The Maine Wire.

Acknowledging the attention, St. Germain posted on social media, “I chose to speak as publicly as I could. I am not afraid of you. My superintendent is Peter Hallen. My principal is Brian Laramee.”

Law enforcement has also opened an investigation into the matter, as reported by the Portland Press Herald.
