Competition for MBBS Seats
This year, with 1.20 lakh MBBS seats available, the competition has reduced slightly. On average, there will be 19 candidates competing for each MBBS seat, compared to 20.3 candidates per seat last year.
Factors Behind the Drop
According to private counsellor Sonu Kumar, the registration process accelerated rapidly in early March, with 4-5 lakh candidates registering within the first five days. Despite this increase, overall numbers remain lower than anticipated.
Additionally, students previously admitted to Rajasthan University of Health Sciences, Jaipur, and Marwar Medical University, Jodhpur, are facing uncertainty after these institutions withdrew their admissions decisions.
