American KFC fans are feeling some type of way after discovering a limited-edition menu offering from the other side of the world.
Foodstagrammer Snackolator unveiled the Flamin’ Hot Doritos Loaded Fries in a new Instagram update posted late on Monday, March 31, where he admitted that he “cried” upon discovering it was a South African exclusive.
But while the real deal, advertised as a “Limited Menu” item from the brand’s Kentucky Town convention that was held late last month in the capital of Bloemfontein, is unattainable—at least for now—the influencer pointed out that “it *could* be here since we have the ingredients.”
The loaded fries appear to be topped with a mixture of Flamin’ Hot Doritos, jalapenos, and a ranch-like sauce—but Snackolator suggests adding chopped up chicken tenders, too.
Fans agreed that it was a slight that was “Definitely worth crying over,” with one bluntly writing, “we need this in the US wtf.”
“The items the US really wants,” another agreed, as someone else mourned how it’s “always different countries [that] gets the good stuffs.”
One person who doesn’t “like spice” was even excited to give it a try.
“Wow kfc wow 😭,” another affronted follower replied.
Perhaps if KFC customers raise enough of a ruckus, we might see the spicy “side snack” stateside one of these days.
